BTS’s Persona| Weekly Post #52

Hello everyone.

If you didn’t know BTS just realeased their new album, MAP OF SOUL: PERSONA. The (mini?) album consists of seven new songs. The title song Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey) currently has about 192 million views on YouTube and 8.8 million likes. BTS did really well with this comeback and hopefully the MAP OF SOUL series is exceeds ARMYs’ expectations.

My Review Of  The Songs

Intro : Persona:  Ok, honestly, I don’t really care for this song since it’s just RM rapping for 2 mintues and 51 seconds. I love RM and he is really talented, but I don’t like songs of just rapping.

Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey): THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG OF THE ENTIRE ALBUM. It’s super cute and happy and just makes you want to have a great day. I don’t think anyone else could do the “Oh my my my” part better than Halsey. I really hope they make more music with Halsey or other artists (Taylor Swift?).

Mikrokosmos: This song reminds me of merry-go-round, probably because of the beat and you can just imagine going round and round in circles.

Make It Right: I really like this song as well. If you didn’t know Ed Sheeran wrote this song, which is pretty cool. I’m glad he gave the song to BTS to sing for their album. I espically like J-Hope’s part, probably because it’s super soothing.

HOME: This is probably my second favorite song from the album because you can listen to it while studying but also while running or excerising. My favorite part is when they say “Mi Casa”. It’s great that they include other languages other than Korean and English.

Jamais vu:  HOW DOES JIN BARELY HAVE ANY LINSE IN THIS SONG? There are only Jungkook, J-Hope, and Jin. Otherwise, great slow song. Don’t recommend playing this song at a party.

Dionysus:  My third favorite song, probably because I feel like it’s really in your face type of song. This is definitely a party song unlike Jamais vu, so play this to hype up people. 🙂

I hope you liked my review and tell me your favorite song in the comments. Bye. ❤︎

Shadow of the Tomb Raider | Weekly Post #50

Picture By: Flickr via Creative Commons

Hello everyone!

Today, I’ll be reviewing a game I’ve played over spring break called Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It is the sequel to Rise of the Tomb Raider and although I didn’t play that one first, I still really enjoyed playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Game Contains Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language

A Little Brief Summary: You play as Lara Croft, a twenty-one-year-old treasurer hunter trying to take down a Christian militia called Trinity who is trying to recreate the world.

Instead of climbing the shivering mountains of Siberia in Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider takes place in the humid jungles of Mexico. Lara sets out on a journey.

The game’s graphics are nothing short of beautiful. Sometimes, just walking around the jungle or climbing in a cave, you just have appreciated the beauty that the creators put into every single detail to the fur of a capybara or the makeover Lara Croft and Jonah got.

The gameplay was amazing with the different tools you could use compared to Rise of the Tomb Raider. It made things more challenging like when you’d reach a dead end while climbing rocks and you’re like “What do I do?” when you’d just lower yourself with a rope so you can swing to the next wall.

The puzzles were probably my least favorite part because say if you’re solving a puzzle and your climbing on top of an ancient structure, and since it’s Lara Croft (everything breaks when she’s around so the possibility of the structure breaking is 99.9% accurate). Then, you’re just struggling to quickly climb up onto the next structure before it crumbles into the abyss below.

My favorite part of the game was when you would have to take out the guards and sneak around. The idea of using mud to conceal your visibility better was a pretty clever idea. I liked how the guards could find you in the vegetation. It took a lot of brain power to plan out how I was going to take out the guys without another guard seeing and where I was going to move. The suspense when all the guards would be surrounding the one bush your concealed in is pretty nerve-wracking but exciting.

I’d just thought I should bring up the Yaaxil and the Jaguars.

I wish there were more things to do once you would finish the game instead of challenge tombs and quests. Since I really enjoyed the game, I would like to do more things instead of doing quests in Paititi.

Overall, 10/10 game and I’m going to play it again after I finish Rise of the Tomb Raider. I’m really excited for the next game coming out. I hope you enjoyed my post. Bye.

Japan’s Vending Machine Craze| Weekly Post #48

If you go to Japan, you’ll notice the abundant amount of vending machines everywhere. But why? Why are there so many vending machines in Japan compared to America?

After doing some research and watching a Vox video called “Why Japan has so many vending machines” (which gave loads of information and explanations)

One reason why is because Japan’s labor market is expensive, so vending machines are basically robotic 24/7 store clerks.

Japan also is very advanced and has a fascination with being automatic/robotics. It’s to make things simple and easier such as ordering a meal and/or opening a door to a department store. But they are stores that still do things handmade.

Since Japanese apartments are very small and 93% of the population lives in them, they wouldn’t open a store that cost double their apartment’s rent. They’ll just buy a vending machine and gain a decent amount of profit.

Vandalism is also rare in Japan, so they can have vending machines without getting broken or spray painted by people.

Japan’s currency has an abundant amount of coin and everything is mostly cash based. So it’s easy to use extra change to get a drink or snack from one of the ten vending machines lined up on the street.

I hope you enjoyed learning about Japanese vending machines. And if you’re going to Japan, be sure to get orange flavored water. It’s really refreshing. Bye❤︎

Love Yourself (i’m aware it’s a BTS album series :3)

Picture By: Wikimedia Commons via Creative Commons Search

Hello. It’s Sarah.

Today, I’m going to spreading a message about Self-Love.

It’s not selfish to love yourself, it’s actually essential to being positive. Self-love can improve your life by making you appreciate your life and have healthy habits. People with self-love do things differently than people without it or very little of it. For example, people without self-love will listen to their emotions and people with self-love accept their emotions. By accepting their emotions, they use it to help them in the future. Another thing they do differently is that they maintain their passions and talents but also acknowledges their flaws and mistakes. It’s important to put time into the things you love so you can get better at your talents. When accepting flaws and mistakes, they know it’s ok and they expect them to make mistakes. No one’s perfect and no one will ever be perfect.

I’ve been watching a show on Netflix called Queer Eye. It’s about a group of gay guys, called the Fab 5, who go out into the world and makeover others who are in need of it. Each of them specialized in a certain field, such as fashion, culture, food, grooming, and design. They teach others to love themselves and learn about other’s stories. “Self-love and self-esteem [is] not a like a light that you turn on when you come in a room,” said Jonathan. “It’s a constant relationship that you build with yourself every day. And so it’s really more of like the small things and the small ways that you talk to yourself, day-in and day-out to build that confidence… It’s kind of like a piggy bank, you have to keep depositing those little coins and then all of a sudden, you have a fortune that no one can take away from you, and that is your self-confidence,” he added.” (retrieved from We Talked About Self-Love With The Fab 5 Of ‘Queer Eye’ by Cosmopolitan)

Everything above is just facts and not something that I’ve achieved, but I’m striving. Long story short, loving yourself is not easy, but it’s not impossible. There are many struggles and many mountains you have to climb before you actually fully love yourself. I hope this helps you love yourself even more! (give yourself a hug <3) Thank you for reading this post.

My FAVORITE Book| Weekly Post #39

Picture By: Flickr via Creative Commons

Hey guys!

Welcome back to another Weekly Post. Today, I’m going to be talking about my FAVORITE book (currently) called Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children By Ransom Riggs. I was supposed to do a favorite book post for my VERY first Edublogs post (ever), but I never got that done (whoops :p). So, I’m redeeming myself and finally getting it done today.

Here are some facts about the book:

  • It’s the first book in a three book series
  • The reading level is fourth grade through twelfth grade
  • There are some swear words here and there (still read the book)
  • The genre is Young Adult Fiction and Fantasy

Why It’s My Favorite Book

This book has mystery and it’s really interesting. Each of the kids has different abilities and it’s something no ordinary superhero or person could think of. Riggs also uses different types of vintage photos.  I don’t think there is any other book like this one (except the other 2 books in the series).

I hope you enjoyed my book review. See you later! Bai!💜

Welcome back to another Weekly Post. Today is about Vixx 😀 My bestie, Raya , made me listen to them…. so thanks Raya, I owe you one. Imma going to make you a Swifty 😀 (Mission: Vixx and Swifty *cue dramatic music*)

Vixx is probably my favorite K-Pop group. I don’t know a lot about them, I can’t even remember which one was Hong-Bin. How great of a fan am I?

Photo By: IFK via Bing Images

Anyway, I like them not as much as Raya… ummm… *Raya drinking water and singing G.R.8.U * Yeah… that was weird. My bias is KEN! Ken is super funny and upbeat. He has a goat type scream, seriously search it up. Go on Google and type “Ken Vixx Screaming”. You’re welcome 😉

I like all of them, but if I were to rank them. I would rank them

  1. Ken
  2. Leo (hehe)
  3. N
  4. Hyuk
  5. Hong-Bin
  6. Ravi (sorry Ravi fans)

Raya – BUM BUM BUDDUM BUM BUM BUM BUM *singing in background*

I don’t know how Raya convinced me to write this post…. This post was really short, but anyway, Bai! 💜

My New Year Resolution :P | Weekly Post #35

Happy New Year of the Doge🐶 guys!

It’s 2018 now! So, ready for some new year resolution? I finally have one that I hope to stick to for the rest of my life, and it’s READ MORE BOOKS!!!!! If you know me, I’m not a big reader because I only found a couple books that I enjoyed. I want to read at least 5 books in 2 or less months. (fingers crossed :D) Here is my steps to getting to where I want to be! (You are welcome to follow my plan)

Step 1: U N P L U G📱

Devices now days are controlling the way that we live as humans. Unplugging for more than 3 hours is a start.

Step 2: Start research for books and borrowing from the library.

Borrowing from the library is better than borrowing it online (in my point of view)

MY GOAL!!!

Read at least 5 books in 3 months!! I know it seems very little, but it takes time for this habit to build.

Here are some links that have other ideas:

I hope to make this year count and constantly remind myself that I NEED TO DO MY RESOLUTION! argh… anyway, i hope that you enjoy your 2018. If it’s like 2022 and someone is reading this, hiya, I’m from 2018 pretty cool, huh? See you guys next week! Bai. 💜

Who Did It?| Weekly Post #34

Hey guys!

This post is making up for the week I didn’t do… (you’re welcome and sorry).

Now, you are wondering what my title meant? Yeah, it’s weird, but it’s from a TV show, so what did you expect? Do you know the show “Riverdale”?

The Thing That Makes The Story (AKA The Plot of Season 1)

In season one, a boy named Jason Blossom passed away. His sister, Cheryl, and he went out to Sweetwater Lake on a morning boat ride. Cheryl dropped a glove into the water, Jason went to grab it. He tipped the boat and drowned, but did that really happen? (you probably already know the answer) NO! He was murdered. Here’s why:

  1. His body wasn’t found until later
  2. His sister confirmed it.

Now, his sister said that she was going to row him across Sweetwater Lake, tip the boat, and say that he drowned, but he actually ran away, but from who/what? Well, you just have to watch it on CW and see. 😉

Now here are our main high school characters:

Veronica Lodge: Veronica has a privileged life, and is one of our richest characters. She’s originally from New York, but her mom grew up in Riverdale. Her dad was put in jail for fraud and embezzlement. No one knew that she was your typical mean girl. After turning over a new leaf, she meets Betty. Veronica convinces Betty to try out for the cheerleading squad. Veronica is always there for you, no matter what.

Betty Cooper (Elizabeth)– A smart girl who has lived in Riverdale for her whole life, and is one of the main detectives in solving the murder of Jason Blossom. She always willing to help and volunteer. Her sister, Polly, was sent away because she was hard to control or “sick”. Betty is trying to find her sister and knows that her parents are lying to her. Betty is a smart girl and soon figures out who killed Jason Blossom. (she’s my favorite character <3)

Archie Andrews– Your typical jock/musician: Music is his passion and plays football for fun. He’s not doing well in school. He is always trying to help and sometimes is a little too apologetic. He’s protecting his friends and family from the danger of who knows what?

Jughead Jones– A boy who has a hard life. His mom and sister, Jellybean, live in Toledo, while his dad is the head of the Southside Serpents (a gang on the Southside). Also, one of the main detectives. He lives on his own because his dad’s house is a living trash can and his mom doesn’t live in Riverdale. Jughead is a smart kid and protects anyone he loves in a weird way… he’s a weirdo :p

My Favorite Location In The Show

They mostly hang out at a place called Pop’s. They serve burgers, coffee, milkshakes, mostly diner food. Most of the drama happens here. One time, Veronica’s mom was cleaning the kitchen, and someone sent her a box. She decided to open it (and btw NEVER DO THIS EVER, if you are by yourself and it’s dark..) AND THERE WAS A SNAKE! A SNAKE!

Why You Should Watch It?

Watch. Riverdale. NOW!!! It’s a really interesting show because you wanna know what happens next, and end up watching the entire season 1 in a day… 😛 If you like mysteries and drama, this show is for you. Or if you have nothing to do because you watched everything on Netflix already. Well, Riverdale, I give it 4.5/5 stars. If you don’t watch it, that’s okay, but you’re going to regret it 🙂

Well, that’s it for this post. I hope you guys enjoyed it and ~MERRY CHRISTMAS~ Have a Merry Christmas!!! I’ll be back on later (i don’t have a date… lol) See you later! Bai!💜

Ciao, Student Blogging Challenge| SBC Week 10

Hey guys!

This is the part one for the last post of this year’s SBC *sad face*. Now, I’m going to evaluate myself to this challenge.

I wrote 18 posts. I know it’s not a lot because last time I wrote more, but this year, I’ve been busier. Eight posts were interests and 10 were school based. My most commented post was 5 INTERESTING Places That You Should Visit| Weekly Post #27. I think it’s most commented because a lot of people around the world are probably wondering if where they live have any cool places. I enjoyed writing my 💜Answering 73 Vouge Questions💜| Weekly Posts because I think it was the most creative post and the best idea I had in a long time. I changed my blog theme and lost my visitors count(i was so mad). I add the snow plugin. I have 7 widgets. I don’t think that that’s a lot of widgets because it’s just helping my readers to read my blog. I have 6 overseas people on my blogroll. I don’t have many web tools, but I show my creativity in a different way.

I asked my cousin to check out my blog. He’s from California. I edited his answer to sound a little better.

1. “My first impressions of this blog was very galaxy-y.”

2. “The snow captured my attention while I was reading.”

3. “The snow did.”

4. “Maybe add more pictures to your blog.”

Thanks for reading my post! I’ll see you in the last SBC post of 2017. Bai!💜
