Today, I’m talking about the CW (or CBS) show, Supergirl! My friends are having a contest on who is better the Flash (😒) or Supergirl (😆), so to boost up how AWESOME Supergirl truly is.

Season 1, Episode 1: ‘Pilot’

In this episode (THE VERY FIRST ONE) Kara Zor-El explains how she landed on Earth. As you know, Krypton is going to explode💥, so Kara’s parents send her to Earth to protect her baby cousin Kal-El (Superman). When Kara leaves her pod is knocked off course by the destruction wave of Krypton and gets sent to the Phantom Zone, a place where time doesn’t pass, she gets stuck there for 24 years, until suddenly her pod lands on Earth. Kal-El grew up into Superman. Kara gets placed with her adoptive family. In the present, Kara Danvers is an assistant for Queen of All Media, Cat Grant. Cat Grant doesn’t really care about her, I guess. (What a great friend/boss) Kara’s sister, Alex, is going on a business trip to Geneva, while Kara is going on a blind date. When Kara is on her boring date, she finds out that the engine on a plane to Geneva has gone out. Kara races down the street and takes flight. Kara saves the plane, and her sister, Alex, gets angry because she spent her entire life taking care of Kara. After revealing her identity, everyone is trying to figure who she is. Cat Grant brands her to ‘Supergirl’. Kara has a major blowout about her being named ‘Supergirl’ because she believes she should be called Superwoman. That’s all I’m going to say because I don’t want to spoil the rest. Remeber, watch it on CW.
